Wayfetch

Privacy policy

Effective October 29, 2026

Wayfetch LLC ("Wayfetch", "we", "us") makes booking and operations software for pet-care businesses such as dog walkers, pet sitters, dog trainers, groomers, and daycare and boarding facilities. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It covers our website (wayfetch.com), our booking pages, our web app and our staff mobile app.

Who this policy is about

  • Businesses that subscribe to Wayfetch, and their owners and managers.
  • Staff of those businesses who use the Wayfetch staff app.
  • Pet owners who book with a business through a Wayfetch booking page.
  • Visitors to wayfetch.com, including people who join our early-access list.

When a business uses Wayfetch to manage its own clients and pets, that business decides what it collects and why, and Wayfetch processes that information on the business's behalf. If you are a pet owner with a question about your records, the business you book with is your first contact; we will help them answer it.

What we collect

From businesses and staff: name, email, phone, business name and address, staff home-base addresses, working hours, and role. Subscription payments are handled by Stripe; we receive a customer ID and payment status, never full card numbers.

From pet owners (through the business's booking page): name, email, phone, home and visit addresses, entry instructions, emergency contact, pet details (name, breed, age, behaviour notes, vet, feeding and medication), vaccination records you upload, signed intake forms and waivers, bookings and payment status. Door, alarm and lockbox codes are encrypted and shown only to the staff member assigned to your visit, around the time of that visit.

During visits: the staff app records the staff member's location only while a visit is checked in, so we can confirm arrival and departure and, for walks, draw the route. It also records the visit timer, photos, checklist items and notes the staff member adds. Location is not collected outside active visits.

From connected calendars (see the Google section below): start and end times and free or busy status of events on the calendars a staff member chooses to connect, and the events Wayfetch itself creates for bookings.

From our website: what you enter in the early-access form (name, email, business name, services and team size), which is collected for us by Tally. We do not use advertising trackers or sell-your-data cookies on wayfetch.com.

Automatically: basic technical data such as device type, app version, IP address and error reports, used to keep the service running and secure.

How we use information

  • To show available booking times, including drive time between visits, and to create, change and remind people about bookings.
  • To keep each staff member's calendar and Wayfetch in sync.
  • To record visits and send visit reports to pet owners.
  • To process payments through each business's own Stripe account.
  • To send confirmations, reminders, receipts, visit reports and messages by email, text and app notification.
  • To support businesses who ask for help, with the business owner's approval and a logged, time-limited grant.
  • To secure, maintain and improve Wayfetch, including fixing errors and preventing abuse.
  • To contact early-access sign-ups about Wayfetch.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google user data

If a staff member connects a Google account, Wayfetch requests access to Google Calendar so it can:

  • read the start and end times and free or busy status of events on the calendars that person selects, so those times are not offered for booking; and
  • create, update and delete the calendar events that represent that person's Wayfetch bookings.

Wayfetch does not store the titles, descriptions, attendees or locations of events it did not create. It stores only the busy time blocks, the IDs and sync tokens needed to keep the calendars in step, and the events for Wayfetch bookings. Google data is used only to provide these calendar features to that user; it is not used for advertising, not sold, not used to train AI or machine-learning models, and not shared with anyone except as needed to run the service, to comply with the law, or with the user's consent. Wayfetch staff do not read it except with the user's permission, for security purposes, or where the law requires.

Wayfetch's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect Google at any time in Wayfetch settings or at your Google Account permissions page. When you disconnect, we stop syncing and delete the stored busy blocks and tokens for that calendar within 30 days.

Microsoft Outlook calendars connected through Microsoft are handled the same way.

Who we share information with

  • The business you deal with. Pet owners' records are visible to the business they book with and its staff, according to the roles the business sets. Pet owners see only their own bookings, reports and visit routes. No business can see another business's data.
  • Service providers who run parts of Wayfetch for us under contract: Cloudflare (hosting for wayfetch.com), Tally (the early-access form), Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (web hosting), Google Maps Platform (addresses and drive times), Stripe (payments), Twilio (text messages), Resend (email), Expo, Apple and Google (app notifications), and Sentry (error reports).
  • When the law requires it, or to protect people, pets or the service from harm.
  • In a sale or merger of Wayfetch, under this policy or one at least as protective, with notice to you.

How long we keep it

  • Visit locations: for the period the business sets, 90 days by default.
  • Bookings, forms, waivers and visit reports: while the business's account is active, unless the business deletes them sooner.
  • Audit logs of changes and sensitive views: at least one year.
  • When a business cancels, it can export its data; we delete it within 30 days after that, and it leaves our backups within 35 days after deletion.
  • Early-access sign-ups: until you ask us to remove you or we launch, whichever comes first.

Your choices and rights

  • Pet owners can update their details through the booking page and ask the business to correct or delete records. Deleting your Wayfetch login does not delete a business's records about you; ask that business.
  • Staff can turn off location permission at any time; the visit features that need it will stop working.
  • Anyone can ask us what we hold about them, ask for a copy, a correction or deletion, or opt out of non-essential messages, by writing to wayfetch603@gmail.com. Residents of states with privacy laws, such as California, have these rights by law, and we honour them for everyone.
  • Text messages: reply STOP to stop texts from a business.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Door and lockbox codes get an extra layer of encryption. Each business's data is kept separate from every other business's at the database level, staff sign in with multi-factor authentication, and every change and every view of sensitive fields is logged where the business owner can see it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

Wayfetch is for businesses and adult pet owners. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change would let us use Google user data, or any information, in a new way, we will ask for your consent first.
